Gary Lineker has been a season ticket holder at Leicester since he was seven years old, and today, at the age of 55, he finally saw his boyhood club win their first ever league championship.
Speaking to Dan Walker on the BBC, Lineker revealed he watched the game with his three sons, two of them Leicester fans. He described The Foxes' title win as the greatest shock in sporting history, which on reflection is difficult to argue with.
The Match of the Day presenter was visibly emotional and positively delirious, and apologised to fans of Tottenham for cheering Chelsea on at Stamford Bridge this evening.
Lineker also confirmed that he better start planning to present the first MOTD of the new season in his underwear, despite the protestations of Claudio Ranieri.
We'll forgive @GaryLineker for being a little emotional tonight...#MOTD https://t.co/YkEXc4Bi1d
