Real Madrid faced a trip to play Legia Warsaw in an empty stadium on Wednesday night thanks to UEFA's sanctions on the Polish club for their fans' behaviour.
In all honesty, it's a shame that there were no fans people inside the stadium to witness an absolutely breathtaking goal from Gareth Bale in the first minute of the match.
A bouncing ball fell to Bale at the edge of the area, and rather than try to control it like the vast majority of professional footballers, the thought he would rather score a goal instead.
Flawless technique.
That was Real Madrid's fastest ever Champions League goal.
0:57 - Gareth Bale's goal tonight is the quickest that Real Madrid have ever scored in the Champions League (57 secs). Rapid.

What an absolutely sensational strike from the Welshman, who just this week put pen to paper on a seriously juicy new Real Madrid contract that sets his buy-out clause at €1 billion.
...Worth it?
