Last night, Reading secured their spot in the play-off final at Fulham's expense, thanks mainly to some goalkeeping heroics by a frequent visitor to Ireland, Oman's Ali Al-Habsi.
Huddersfield Town have now joined them there, and they also required some goalkeeping heroics, Danny Ward, currently on loan from Liverpool.
Ward saved twice in the shoot-out, condemning Wednesday, along with Irish goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, to another season in the Championship.
Westwood was unfortunate: he came close to saving the third penalty and even closer to stopping the fourth before parrying Huddersfield's final penalty away, meaning Fernando Forestieri had the chance to send the shoot-out to sudden death. Ward, however, had other ideas.
