Watch: Fernando Torres Beats Pepe Reina With Sublime Bit Of Improvisation In Audi Cup

As pre-season tournaments go, the Audi Cup - held annually in Munich - is the one that can be relied upon to offer up some entertaining football as the clubs involved are that much closer to start their seasons kicking off than pre-season tours to China or the USA.

This year, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Napoli, and Atletico Madrid will be competing, and the first match has offered up a few moments of quality already.

Napoli took the lead against Atletico through Jose Callejon shortly after half time, but it was the response from Fernando Torres that stood out for us after he left his old pal Pepe Reina flat footed with a moment of clever improvisation.

As Greizmann played an awkward ball back to him, Torres swivelled to get his heel on the ball, nutmegged a defender trying to block it, and hit the back of the net.

El Nino still going strong.

Luciano Vietto netted the winner for Atleti late on, so it will be interesting if Torres lines out against his former club Liverpool should they navigate past Bayern Munich.

While we have you, the finish from Callejon to put the Italian side ahead was extremely tasty as well.

Liverpool face Bayern later tonight and the winners play Atleti in the final tomorrow, while the losers will face Napoli at an earlier kick-off time.
