Adam Lallana is absolute exuding confidence right now.
The Liverpool man has really hit his stride under Jurgan Klopp and is playing the football of his life at club level, and he hasn't been half bad at international level either.
On Tuesday night he followed up a goal against Scotland in a 3-0 win last weekend with an absolutely sublime pass for Jamie Vardy, who was fouled by Pepe Reina for a penalty. Lallana demanded the ball, and he stuck it in the top corner, but really it was all about the pass.
Just look at the last angle. Magical.
Lallana was tipped as the type of player that Klopp could mould into a star when the German first arrived on Merseyside, and it very much looks like that is the case as his good form shows no signs of slowing down.
Funnily enough, this pass bares a striking resemblance to the one threaded through by Kaka in the Istanbul Champions League Final of 2005, even down to the outstretched defender getting so close.
Uncanny.
So that's a Liverpool player creating a goal against a former Liverpool goalkeeper in a similar fashion to a goal from one of Liverpool's most famous ever matches...
On a night where Jordan Henderson captained England, and Iago Aspas scored a beauty on his debut...
A very Liverpool themed night at Wembley, the final score was 2-2 after England bottled a 2-0 lead at the very death.
However, Liverpool fans will have been very disappointed to see Lallana withdrawn in the first half due to injury... International football, eh?
