When Mauricio Pochettino arrived at Spurs five years ago, could he have ever dreamed of a moment like this? Spurs are through to the Champions League final, and they did it in the most dramatic way possible.
Hampered by injury and poor form, they travelled to Ajax as the underdogs. The unlikely soon became the impossible, with Spurs falling into a two goal deficit, and three on aggregate.
What happened next is why we all love football. Lucas Moura scored three, including one in injury time. It was the perfect ending to an incredible game, unless you are an Ajax supporter of course.
Speaking in his post match press interview, you could see what it meant to the man that laid the foundations that this dream was built upon. As humble as ever, he thanked his players for making it all possible.
"Thank you football. Thank you my players, they are heroes."
"Without football it is impossible to live."
No, thank you 🙏

Spurs will face a familiar foe in the final, with Liverpool awaiting their arrival in Madrid on June 1st. If the two semi finals are anything to go by, we are in line for a classic.
