Edin Džeko returned to England with a bang tonight.
Having left Manchester City for Roma in 2015, the Bosnian forward has really taken to life in the Italian capital. The top-scorer in Serie A last season, the former Bundesliga and Premier League winner is as colossal and dynamic a presence as you may remember.
Travelling to London tonight to face Chelsea in a group they also share with Atletico Madrid, a 0-0 draw in Azerbaijan for the Spanish club left Roma with an opportunity to push ahead tonight - if they could somehow overcome Antonio Conte's team.
Despite controlling much of the ball throughout the first half however, Roma found themselves 2-0 down and looking forlorn. Pulling it back to 2-1 through Alexander Kolarov just before half-time, Roma approached the second half with added vigour.
Edin Džeko was instrumental as he contributed Roma's 2nd and 3rd goals on the night. A 75th minute equaliser from Chelsea's Eden Hazard would ultimately mean the spoils were shared in Stamford Bridge in what undoubtedly was the game of the night.
You can watch Džeko's first goal of the night below; it's something right out of the Robin van Persie playbook.
