The RTÉ panel were unanimous in their verdict that Manchester United performed very poorly in the second half of their Champions League win against Wolfsburg.
Despite all agreeing that United had played well in the first half, at full time the knives were out as Bastian Schweinsteiger was deemed unfit to play 90 minutes, and Daley Blind was labelled unable to play centre-back, but it was the United captain Wayne Rooney who came in for most criticism.
Eamon Dunphy spent a solid two minutes talking about how he felt Rooney was "burnt out" and explained why he thought he had lost "the hunger":
He does raise a few interesting points. While Manchester United fans would not be best pleased with his comments on the direction the team is heading in, he has given an explanation as to why Rooney isn't performing so far this season, a suggestion that few could argue against.
