What a start for the Lilywhites!
After a 1-1 draw last week Stephen Kenny's men were facing an uphill battle knowing they needed to score, but they got off to an absolute flyer on Wednesday night in Norway. Dundalk managed to wipe out Rosenborg's away goal at Oriel Park within 12 minutes, and the big goal came from the most unlikely of sources.
Defender Brian Gartland registered his second goal of the season as he latched on to a corner and sent the travelling fans wild, silencing the home crowd in the process.
Gartland just wanted it more, and placed his header well after outmuscling his opposition marker.
A fantastic start, but the job is not done just yet!
