A dream first-half for Dundalk in Poland was secured thanks to a moment of pure class from Robbie Benson as he caught the sweetest of volleys from a David McMillan knock-down to pull a goal back against Legia Warsaw.
Dundalk skipper Stephen O'Donnell missed the second leg through suspension, but he was on hand to give his views in the TV3 Studio alongside Brian Kerr and Kevin Kilbane, and he was obviously over the moon when the ball hit the back of the net.
What has @DundalkFC skipper Stephen O'Donnell so happy!?! LIVE NOW on @TV3sportireland #TV3UCLhttps://t.co/h20P7QQrvp

Dundalk 1-0. What a goal. Robbie Benson crashes in a beauty, a volley with his left. You wouldn't see Zizou do that (you might). Game on.

O'Donnell claimed that Benson does that sort of thing all the time in training, pointing out that the magnificent strike was actually on his weaker foot, which is simply remarkable.
