That's unlike you, Dimitar.
Former Spurs and Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is known for his supreme first-touch and his elegant (or lethargic, depending on how you view him) play, but on Sunday while leading the line for PAOK against AEK in Greece, the Bulgarian saw red for the first time since 2002.
Berbatov delivered a nasty elbow to a defender who got a bit too close for comfort, and immediately headed for the changing rooms once he knew it was seen.
Most unusual. AEK would go on to win 1-0.
Berbatov had been linked with a move to Bournemouth during the summer, but opted for Greece in the end and it hasn't gone according to plan. Hopefully the next update we get from PAOK features a sublime chip followed by a lethargic shrug of the shoulders.
