Preston's Irish legion were out in force on Saturday afternoon against Reading as Andy Boyle, Greg Cunningham, Aiden McGeady and Daryl Horgan all started for the Championship side. Alan Browne was also on the bench.
It was Daryl Horgan who starred in the first half, providing an assist for Tom Barkhuizen's opening goal and also scoring Preston's second as they led 2-0 at half time.

Horgan took advantage of some slack defending from Reading to slide a ball across the box for Barkhuizen to put his side ahead just after the half hour mark.
Not long after it was Barkhuizen play provider for Horgan. After Barkhuizen's electric counter attack, Horgan took over, eventually getting the ball to trickle over the line.
