Republic of Ireland international Darron Gibson has been filmed on camera describing his club Sunderland as 'fucking shit.'
In what can be seen as an unfortunate situation to get himself into, Gibson is confronted by Sunderland fans about his commitment to the club while on a night out, and after being secretly filmed, the footage has been posted on social media today.
Sunderland played a pre season friendly against Celtic yesterday at the Stadium of Light where they were thrashed 5-0 by the Scottish champions and the fans were unhappy to see Gibson out enjoying a drink after the defeat.
However, Gibson agreed with the suggestion that not enough players cared, and named three players who he feels are letting the club and the supporters down:
There is too many people at the club who don't give a fuck [Lamine Kone] yes next one, [Jermain Lens] next one, [Wahbi Khazri] next one.
After name checking three players, the fans questioned Gibson's desire to play for the club, something he was adamant he still wants to do.
I may be off my face in here but I still want to play for Sunderland and the rest of them fucking don't though.
Gibson may well get into a bit of trouble with the club for this video, but he was being filmed without his consent and didn't say anything that the fans of the club wouldn't agree with.
