PSG went into today's game against Lyon nine points clear at the top of the table. The French side have been in spectacular form of late. They had conceded just one goal in 2018 and started today with Angel Di Maria, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappé manning their awesome attack.

However, things have not gone according to plan. A stunning Lyon free-kick after just two minutes gave Lyon an unlikely lead. The strike isn't unlike Ronaldinho's famous free-kick.

While PSG later managed to equalise, they were soon reduced to ten men when Dani Alves was sent off for a late challenge and dissent. the Brazilian had not been sent off for three years but seemed to have a gripe with the referee which saw him dismissed after 57 minutes.

Alves was only going to get a yellow card but his angry reaction provoked the referee to give him the red.

PSG went on to lose the game thanks to a last minute Memphis screamer:

More concerning for PSG, Mbappe came off injured. They face Real Madrid in just three weeks in the Champions League and will hope to have their star striker fit for that clash.
