Damien Duff was an incredible player at his peak, one that we could have given any winger in the world a run for their money.
He was a key component in a Chelsea team that was one of the most dominant ever seen in English football, one that won the league with a then record 95 points. At a time when Ireland's squad lacks players at plying their trade at the top of the game, what we wouldn't give to have somebody like him in the fold.
Considering the high level Duff operated at, it no surprise that he played with some incredible players over the years. But who was the best of them?
This was the question posed by the Celtic Twitter account, who asked him to put together his ultimate five-a-side made up of former teammates.
Even accounting for his questionable decision to go without a goalkeeper, this squad would take some beating.

How do you think they stack up against John Kennedy's team? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/nJffnAFJpM— Celtic Football Club (@CelticFC) June 30, 2019
It's great to see a couple of Irish players in there, and you certainly couldn't argue with their inclusion.
David Villa was a bit of a strange choice, especially when he only played with Duff for a few games when both were past their best. Didier Drogba could probably feel a bit hard done by there.
Duff has been building his coaching repertoire in recent times, starting at Shamrock Rovers. He would then move on to Celtic, where he has been part of the fist team coaching staff since the appointment of Neil Lennon.
If he continues along his current path of progression, a position as a manager may not be too far away.
