The recent trend of pitch-side manager interviews in the middle of a match is something that is quite divisive among football fans, but it provided a highly entertaining moment in Friday night's big League of Ireland match between Dundalk and Derry City.

A staggering eight Derry players were booked on the night, but it was after a red card for Chris Sheilds of Dundalk that Derry manager, Kenny Shields, gave his opinion that the referee was going to 'try to even things up' by sending off one of this players...

What was Conor McCormack supposed to do there? A very soft sending off. What a call by Kenny Shields though, the man sensed a disturbance in the force and he was spot on.
