When a goalkeeper decides he is going for a ball, typically, there is very little than can make them reconsider.
With Celtic 1-0 up away to Ross County on Wednesday night, the last thing they would have wanted would have been for their goalkeeper to be sent off, and yet a moment of madness from Craig Gordon very nearly resulted in that exact scenario.
When a ball was played over the top of the Celtic backline, Gordon sprinted from his line and there was shades of The Karate Kid about his attempt to win the ball, which he just managed to pull out of in time.
And it still probably should have been a red card.
Chris Sutton reinforcing the point, Gordon was a very lucky boy, and that is certainly not the first time something like that has happened.
Celtic would go on to win 4-0, so Ross County fans (and fans from a certain club that also plays in Glasgow) will be quite upset that Gordon wasn't sent off which would have seen Brendan Rodgers' men defend a 1-0 lead with 10 men.
