It can be little surprise that Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois had a different view of tonight's first-half penalty decision.

Adjudged to have taken down Watford's Gerard Deulofeu, the Belgian 'keeper drew a likeness to the situation that earned Tottenham Hotspur a penalty against Liverpool yesterday afternoon.

Where debate raged over whether or not Harry Kane had manufactured a foul from the rushing out Loris Karius, it was a similar situation tonight; Deulofeu, running into the box, was clipped by the Chelsea 'keeper.

Although some would suggest that the 'keeper had little or no intention of colliding with the player, Jamie Carragher surmised that contrary to Courtois's pleading, he had "come rushing out like a lunatic."

For the Belgian however, such incidents, where "these kinds of players" come rushing in, they are looking for the foul.

A selection of Liverpool fans (and Karius himself) will undoubtedly agree with Courtois. However, as was the case last night, the majority of those with an objective view of events have fallen on the side of the forward.

You can watch Courtois's tetchy interview below.
