The drunken exploits of Irish fans in France - beamed around the world through the sorcery of modern technology - captured the imagination, particularly of those who work with reputable Irish sports websites, who watched every single one of them.
It would seem that Irish fans couldn't go anywhere without collective acts of kindness of some kind, be it singing lullabies to children on public transport or changing flat tyres. It must be extremely difficult to be an Irish fan travelling France at the moment, as the French public must expect the same traditions to be upheld.
But with the party now long over, RTE's Republic of Telly enlisted Charlie Bird for a mockumentary looking at how Irish fans are struggling with the withdrawal symptoms.
It's really quite brilliant, with star turns from Richie Sadlier and a set of pedestrian lights. The home for Veterans of Jack's Army is superb also.

Chapeau.
