It's 'England's shame' and it has absolutely nothing to do with Iceland. While much of England was tuning in to the build up to last night's Euro 2016 clash with Iceland, Channel 4's ever excellent 7 o'clock news was broadcasting the kind of footage that needed to be seen much more than any pundit predicting an England win over Iceland.

In the wake of Brexit, it's easy to throw all sense of reason in the air and sound the anarchy alarm. Some have done that while others, in their wisdom, are doing their best to foster a sense of calm and, 'we'll all work through it together'. That would seem like the most sensible option when you listen to sensible people.
The world however, is not filled with an unending amount of common sense and it's seems sometimes that it's filled with even less common decency.
The rhetoric from many England fans at the start of Euro 2016 was along the lines of 'don't tar everyone with the same brush'. There are drunken idiots everywhere and it's not fair to suggest that it's a result of being English that would lead fans to lob plastic chairs across a square in Marseille or run riot through the streets of Lille.
And then you see footage like this and you can't help but think if it really is a result of being English in 2016. Is there something so broken about that country that would lead these individuals to look down on those around them with such contempt?
