Callum Robinson has started life at West Brom like a house on fire. Joining on loan from Sheffield United in January, he has already had a big impact at The Hawthorns.
He scored his first goal for the club and was named man-of-the-match in the draw against Nottingham Forest, meaning hopes were high for a repeat performance against Bristol City this afternoon.
It wouldn't be long before he was on the scoresheet. However, there was more than a hint of fortune involved in the goal.
Robinson opened the scoring just after the half hour mark. He was played in one-on-one with the opposition goalkeeper, but squandered the chance. However, the ball would rather fortuitously rebound off the Ireland international's face and into the net.
They all count! West Brom would double their lead a few minutes later via Hal Robson-Kanu.
With James McClean likely to miss out due to injury, Callum Robinson is favourite to start on the left wing in Ireland's Euro 2020 play-off against Slovakia next month.
Mick McCarthy will be hoping that he can carry his form, as well as some of this good fortune, into that fixture.
