Gianluigi Buffon suffered a disappointing conclusion to the Champions League leg of his career this evening.
Having performed spectacularly at times as Juventus improbably clawed back a 3 goal deficit, a late, late penalty decision against his side saw the 40-year-old goalkeeper lose the run of himself.
Premier League referee Michael Oliver was in charge of the evening's proceedings, and, when Buffon made physical contact with the English official, he had no issue sending the legendary 'keeper off.

If somebody told me this time last night that Michael Oliver would get a mention in Gianluigi Buffon's autobiography, well ...

Dios mio. Iffy penalty for Real Madrid in the last second and Buffon shown red in his last Champions League game for pushing the ref. Ronaldo scores of course. Absolutely mental.
