Channel 4's Football Italia was staple viewing for football fans in the 90s and early 00s and fans of the show were given a treat last night with BT Sports' airing of Golazzo: The Football Italia Story.
The hour long retrospective saw host of the show James Richardson look back on the success of the program alongside interviews with Paul Ince, Gianfranco Zola, Paul Elliott, Ray Wilkins, Joe Jordan, Luther Blissett, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Paul Heaton and Peter Brackley.
It was a real nostalgia trip for many football fans who grew up in the 90s and there was a great reaction to last night's showing:
Just caught up with the brilliant @btsportfootball doc on Football Italia with @acjimbo As soon as the music came on, I was transported back to 1992. Would thoroughly recommend you giving it a watch.

Watching Golazzo: The Football Italia Story on #btsport I was obsessed with this program throughout my school years. Italian football in the 90’s was special & who can forget the impressive James Richardson who’d be sat there with his pile of newspapers & espressos! #arrivederci
