Irish Manchester United fans will have been delighted to see Denis Irwin pop up on their screens 10 minutes into Thursday night's Europa League clash - and the first ever meeting in European competition - between Liverpool and Manchester United.
When a lull in the action took place early on, the camera panned to the away end and sure enough, there's Denis with his old pals Andy Cole and Gary Pallister mixing with the United fans.

Shortly after, the United fans could be heard singing:
Have you ever seen Gerrard win the league? (Have you fuck!)
But we cannot confirm, nor deny, that Irwin was the man who started the chant.
