Watch: Ben Woodburn Lives The Dream With Thumping Finish In Front Of The Kop

Before Liverpool vs Leeds kicked off in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup, we saw a strange moment on Sky Sports as they claimed that 18-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold, who started for Klopp's men on the night, was the mascot the last time the two sides met in 2009. But apparently it wasn't him at all.

It was Alexander-Arnold (we're almost positive) who provided the assist for Divock Origi to open the scoring, but if things were looking good for Liverpool's academy after that moment, they were made to look a whole lot better just five minutes later as the lead was doubled.

The scorer was 17-year-old Ben Woodburn, who came on as a sub following his Premier League debut last weekend. And he absolutely smashed it home in front of The Kop, something he would have been dreaming about since he was an even younger lad.

An unforgettable moment for Woodburn, he also took his place in Liverpool history.

A great night all things considered for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, key players rested, a good performance, and progression to the semi-finals.
