Despite easily dispatching of Scotland and drawing 2-2 with Spain in a friendly, the only talking point in English football this week has been surrounding captain and all-time leading scorer Wayne Rooney getting pissed at a wedding.
Jurgen Klopp gave his take on the situation, which we absolutely loved, and managers like Pep Guardiola and Sean Dyche have also offered the opinion that these matters are not important at all, but it's clear that there is public interest and the British media live and breathe on these types of stories, so they won't be going anywhere soon.
The Rooney drama was debated on BBC Radio Five Live, where Mark Pougatch was joined by Neil Ashton of The Sun, and one caller rang in to tell Ashton exactly what he thought of him, and his newspaper.
The argument that he cared enough to call in is very weak, as he was calling in to express his displeasure at seeing such a big deal made of the incident, but the argument that other callers cared is a valid one.
Still, Stuart didn't hold back and there are many people out there that share his views, as one of the most 'liked' comments under that video on Facebook is that England should follow the example that Leo Messi and Argentina set by boycotting the media entirely...
But then the media would have a field day about how "overpaid" footballers can't even take a bit of criticism in the media. It would most likely be pointless.
We're sticking with Klopp, anyway.
