Being a commentator at a sports event must be a strange thing. It's expected of you to be impartial, despite the fact that to get into that line of work you must be a fan of sports at heart.
Which is why sometimes, impartiality goes out the window and you cheer religious for you team. Take the Icelandic commentator going nuts when his small country reached the last 16.
Sometime emotion takes hold. And while you can understand Andy Townsend on ITV, or Ronnie Whelan and George Hamilton on RTE losing their minds - they weren't the only ones.
