It has been a BUSY weekend for Joey Barton.
Having been crowned a champion with his Burnley teammates and not having had a trophy to parade at Charlton's stadium, Barton was not happy and tweeted his dissatisfaction. He then was voted Burnley's player of the year at the end of season awards and decided to slag Middlesbrough by calling them wankers in his acceptance speech.
Monday brought about a chance for all the Burnley players to lift the trophy in front of the fans and accept their medals... Everyone except Joey Barton, that is.

Sky Sports News were broadcasting the medal awarding ceremony, and they were as confused as Joey himself when the only player who didn't get a medal was Barton.
To be fair, he played it off quite well.
Burnley went undefeated in their final 23 games of the season, and Barton was their best player, so for him to be the only one left without a winners medal is a bit ridiculous. We're sure he'll get it eventually, but for now we'll just enjoy what actually happened.
We've said it before, we'll say it again, the Premier League is going to be a lot more interesting with Joey Barton in it next season.
