There was a brief period of panic earlier this year when it seemed that, for the first time in aeons, Apres Match would not be part of RTE's coverage ovf Euro 2016. Thankfully, common sense prevailed, and the comedy trio have added their usual dollop of brilliance to RTE's coverage, colour sufficient to award RTE the crown in the battle of the Irish broadcasters.
This year, with new personalities on RTE along with a whole host of new characters ripe for parody on TV3, Apres Match have had more scope than ever before. An old tournament favourite, however, has ultimately delivered for them in spades.
England have been finding increasingly creative ways of bowing out of major tournaments in national disgrace, and Apres match have responded in equally ingenious ways. Here's their most recent response, following Roy Hodgson's voluntary falling on his sword after the Iceland humiliation:
