What a hit! Anwar El Ghazi has scored a goal of the season contender, giving Aston Villa the lead in their Championship clash with West Brom. With the game deadlocked at 1-1 heading into the final half hour of play, the Dutch winger produced a moment of absolute magic.
Jack Grealish picked the ball up on the left wing, before making his way inside and finding El Ghazi around 10 yards outside the penalty area. With seemingly little else on, he decided to try his luck at goal. Sit back and enjoy this one.

The dip on the shot is incredible, leaving Sam Johnstone no chance in the West Brom goal. To generate that mount of power by striking the ball with the outside of the foot requires incredible technique, something El Ghazi is not lacking in.
This was his second goal of the night, having opened the scoring via a deflected effort after 12 minutes.
The winger joined Aston Villa in the summer on a season long loan deal from Lille, with an option to make the deal a permanent one at the end of the season. He was considered a bright prospect during his time at Ajax, winning two caps for the Netherlands in 2015.
His form has dipped in recent times, but there is no doubt that he still possesses plenty of quality. He has had a mixed campaign in the Championship thus far, with playing time often hard to come by.
Aston Villa will be hoping for more moments such as this over the coming months as they seek to close the gap between themselves and the promotion places. The club will have a hell of a goal of the season competition in May, with this effort from John McGinn also one of the goals of the year.
