Manchester United are expected to spend big in the summer transfer window this summer, and their main target is believed to be Antoine Griezmann.
The Atletico hitman has spend most of the past few months playing down speculation linking him with a move to Old Trafford, but in a surreal interview on French TV this weekend, he has done the exact opposite.
When asked directly by the host of a show on French TV show Quotidien to put a number out of 10 on his chances of joining Manchester United, and take David Beckham's old number, Griezmann took some time to think before answering... 6.
Antoine Griezmann à Manchester ? « Possible » répond l’intéressé, qui estime ses chances d’y jouer l’an prochain à 6 sur 10. #Quotidien pic.twitter.com/a6XuihJWVG

This is a-typical for a player in Griezmann's situation. To talk with such honesty, and admit that there is a better chance of him joining than not, is actually remarkable.
We wish more players would do the same as it saves us all time, but what with clubs and agents involved we rarely hear a peep.
So what does 6/10 mean? Well, we don't know exactly but he would not have answered what essentially is with 60% percent certainty unless talks were underway. It seems as if a deal is some way off being completed, but it certainly is 'possible'.
According to former France international Bixente Lizarazu, he also said his chances of staying at Atleti were 7/10, although without footage from the source we're not sure if he's just on the wind up.
@1DarrenTulett Yes and says also ...: "7 out of 10 he will Stay in Atletico" ...?

Seemingly not, so perhaps it's not as transparent as we had thought.
Griezmann also said we will know in the next two weeks, so does his transfer depend on Champions League qualification? We can only wait and see.
