The pressure that once came with making the correct signing has found an unlikely escalating factor in the "announcement" of said signing.
In recent transfer windows, this relatively new element of the process has already ventured through the full gamut of emotions - from "oh, what's this?", to "Christ, another one."
Well, Manchester United have dabbled with this format previously, but never quite as successfully as this.
The drawn-out saga that witnessed Alexis Sanchez join United from Arsenal, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan went the other way, finally found its conclusion today.
For Arsenal, the irritating process was succinctly summed up on their Twitter account.

For United however, the long-awaited arrival of a player who is already exciting fans growing grimly aware of reality under Jose Mourinho and his occasionally turgid style.
You may hate the entire premise, or maybe just hate United. However, their announcement of Sanchez has something about it.
The low-keyed sound of 'Glory, Glory Man United', the eerie sight of an empty Old Trafford on a January night, or maybe just Alexis Sanchez finally wearing the #7 jersey, this is a video that will positively get United fans going.
