In case you haven't been following the fortunes of the USA's national men's team too closely, this minute long rant by former USA captain, turned LA Galaxy general manager, turned pundit, Alexi Lalas sums it up nicely.

And it hasn't been good.
Since a promising World Cup campaign in 2014 where they reached the last 16 and gave Belgium a stiff test that went into extra-time, the team has really struggled.
They currently sit on just nine points after eight games, trailing the likes of Panama and Costa Rica as well as Mexico in their World Cup qualification group.
The top three team qualify directly while fourth place gets into a playoff so there is still a decent chance that they will be in Russia.
However, the anger among the American soccer public at how their team is scraping by is apparent through this outburst by Lalas at the weekend.
Perhaps the highlight is the shot at the unnamed 'wonder boy' himself, presumably Borussia Dortmund's 18 year old Christian Pulisic who has been touted as the future star of the team.
