In Spain's Segunda Division last night, a very unfortunate Albacete player suffered an injury that is worse to hear about than it actually looks.
As a fairly promising cross is delivered into the box during Saturday's meeting with Recreativo Huelva, Mariano Bittolo finds himself standing marginally behind his teammate Roman Zozulya.
Both occupied by opposing defenders, Bittolo and Zozulya make movements toward the cross.
Unfortunately, with Zozulya a step ahead - and above, crucially - of Bittolo, a trailing leg catches the Argentine in the most sensitive of areas.
Rather than the normal discomfort though, Bittolo becomes clearly distressed.
As was subsequently revealed, he had every reason to be - Bittolo later received 10 stitches to 'the affected area', as the club doctor put it.
Although he is not set to miss any football as a result, you can relive the horror of this incident below.
