What a prospect this lad is. Adam Idah was given a few opportunities in the Norwich first team over pre-season, and the 18-year old certainly impressed. He managed to grab himself a couple of goals and the campaign to see him become a permanent member of the squad has now gathered plenty of momentum.
The Cork native was back in action with the club's U23 side yesterday as they travelled to The Netherlands to take on FC Dordrecht. It finished in a 5-3 defeat, but Idah managed to grab all three of his side's goals.
It was a bit of a defensive horror show for the English side, but their striker put on a clinical display.
His first goal was a penalty, before he showed some excellent movement to score a tap in at the back post. His third was an absolute stunner.
He latched on to a long ball over the top, before unleashing a stunning lob over the helpless opposition goalkeeper. Take a look at this one.
What a finish!
You can see the full highlights of the game below, with Idah's first two goals found at 1.44 and 2.00.
At only 18-years old Idah is a hugely exciting prospect. He has already made a massive impact in the Republic of Ireland U21 team, and Stephen Kenny seems like a big fan of his.
Despite his age, he has a frame that is already suited to senior football. He is tall and strong, but also very quick and agile. He has an eye for goal too.
Hopefully Idah is given an opportunity in the upcoming Premier League campaign.
