Ryan Naysmith, or Ricky Whittle to use his actual name, has gone on to big things after Dream Team was scrapped by Sky One all those years ago.
Yes, after most of his friends and teammates died in painfully tragic circumstances, the show lead us to believe that Naysmith joined Villarreal, so you can rest assured that we will be working to find a way for that to be consistent with the story of his new role in major American TV series 'American Gods'. Although Whittle's character is an ex-con, so some major shit will have had to have gone down since his time playing alongside Diego Forlan and Juan Roman Riquelme.
The show, which was unveiled at Comic Con 2016 last week, is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's book of the same title and will be exclusive to Starz and looks very interesting based on the trailer.
He's picked up a decent American accent, fair play to him.
Of course, Ricky Whittle also starred in Hollyoaks, but we thought considering so many of our readers were fans of Dream Team, they would want an update now that Ryan Naysmith has broken America, as it were.
Hopefully we'll see Monday Bandele and Luis Amor Rodriguez popping up in Netflix originals sometime soon.
