Real Madrid in a whole lot of bother. While the reappointment of Zinedine Zidane earlier this year was supposed to get the team back on track, their fortunes have worsened in the intervening months.
They may sit top of La Liga on 15 points after seven games, but that has as much to do with the incompetence of their competitors as opposed to any sort of excellence from Madrid.
They have struggled in the Champions League. They were stuffed 3-0 by PSG in Paris in their opening game, but Club Brugge was expected to be a good game to bounce back in.
However, it would be the Belgians that would take an early lead. Emmanuel Bonaventure would score the goal, and while he will certainly claim credit for it, it was his own mistake that caught out Courtois.
Bonaventure's bad touch completely wrong-footed the Belgian. While the goal was then ruled out for offside, VAR overturned the decision.

The Nigerian would double his tally just before halftime, compounding the misery on Madrid.
