Liverpool did not start with the confidence that they displayed last week at Anfield, but went into half-time in a fantastic position thanks to a moment of magic from their wonderful little Brazilian playmaker.
Anthony Martial gave United the lead, and a massive boost in the pursuit of Liverpool's lead when he converted a spot-kick after half an hour, but just as Manchester United fans were starting to fancy their chances of a comeback, Philippe Coutinho stepped up.
Guillermo Varela has been impressive in his breif Manchester United career so-far, but he was comfortably beaten by Coutinho who then audaciously scooped the ball over De Gea to send the away fans wild.
Sublime.
Liverpool were wasteful up until that point, and it took a moment of class to ease the nerves. It's easy to see why the Liverpool fans are so high on the Brazilian.
