George Hamilton is a wonderful man.
His insistence of pronouncing foreign names exactly as the locals would, his knowledge of referee's hobbies and day-to-day interests, and his ability to casually take two minutes out of a match to talk about the beautiful city he is commentating in is second to none, and often puts a smile on the face of whoever is listening.
That happened tonight for us while watching the big Champions League game of the night, as Bayern were dominating Arsenal, his partner in crime Ronnie Whelan raised a hypothetical question about Bayern's training.
George doesn't do hypothetical questions.
..and there's a café there too.
Fantastic. We didn't need that information, but everyone is happier to have known it, and that's the sign of a top commentator.
Never change, George.
