If we're extremely positive we could say that today's results have given Ireland the possible chance of taking something from Gelsenkirchen. If we're being a touch less positive, Poland are after putting a considerable dent in Ireland's chances of Euro 2016 qualification.

Even though Arkadiusz Milik gave Poland a 1-0 lead after 51 minutes in Warsaw you always assumed Germany would have enough firepower to hit back.

However, if Poland's first had thrown a spanner in the works, their second just minutes from time just jammed it in tight. Sebastian Mila popped up to confirm the victory and put the Poles in the driving seat at this early stage in Group D.
