Today at a media scrum following a Republic of Ireland training session, new Derby County signing and Ireland defender Alex Pearce was fielding a number of questions from Irish journalists about the upcoming match with Scotland.

Suddenly, a reported blurted out a question that sent everybody present into a fit of laughter...

Excuse me?

I'm sorry I thought you asked if he'd like to rear-end Roy Keane?

We're not sure who asked the question, or what possessed them to ask it, but it's safe to say it got the reaction it deserved.
