Vincent Kompany had quite a night tonight in Belgium's 1-0 win over Israel in the Euro 2016 Group B qualifier. High on confidence after Fellaini's early goal, he thought he would try and score the one of the greatest goals of all time.
It was so close.
Later on, he was sent off by English referee Mark Clattenburg after appearing to get a fistful of shirt/shorts worryingly closed to his midriff grabbed.
No one is quite sure why got sent off.
VINCENT KOMPANY today. lol. https://t.co/ioIpZQr8iZ

Either way, Belgium won and currently sit on top in Group B, ahead of Wales on goal difference with Israel two points further back.
