Manchester United fans may have been disappointed to see their side lose 2-0 to PSG last night in Chicago, but there were a few positives to take from the game such as Luke Shaw's marauding runs, Memphis Depay's work ethic and close control, and Matteo Darmian's defensive positioning, but none will have them more excited than two moments of magic from their new German star.
Bastian Schweinsteiger played two passes last night that were just sublime, and it's easy to see why all the United players have been heaping praise on his signing with stuff like this:
First, he gets out of a tricky high-press and plays a Scholes-esque searcher for Rooney to run on to:
And then? He does it again, only on the volley:
Magical.
The Old Trafford faithful have been pinching themselves since the confirmation came though that the former Bayern Munich midfield general would be joining the club, and you can expect to see lots of "Schweinsteiger 23" shirts all over the place over the next few months.
