There seems to be some one-upmanship going on between Sam Allardyce and Tim Sherwood to see who can introduce the most new words into the football lexicon. After drawing 0-0 with Chelsea at the end of January, Allardyce claimed that West Ham had "outtacticed" their fellow London club.

In a press conference ahead of tomorrow night's game against Benfica in the Europa League, where he was frank in admitting many players were playing for their future at Spurs, Tim Sherwood introduced us to the concept of being "outdesired".

What you cannot do is get outfought and outdesired and I do not want to see that happening again and don't want to see a capitulation. I want to see the dame desire and attitide from minute one to minute ninety-five.

Let's just hope, for Tim's sake, that Spurs do not get 'outgoaled' by Benfica tomorrow night.
