Carlos Tevez surprised everyone and no-one when he decided to ditch European football and return home to Argentina despite coming off an excellent season for Juventus.
Everybody knew that Tevez had been longing for a return to his beloved Boca Juniors, but many expected him to stay a few more seasons in Europe's top leagues, either way, Carlitos is back home now and he is feeling the love in a big way.
After thousands turned up to La Bombonera to give him a hero's reception for his official unveiling, it sounded like the whole of Argentina erupted when he scored his first goal back in the blue and yellow as he caught the Banfield keeper out with a free-kick in the Copa Argentina last night:
I think they're fond of him.
Surely it's good to be home for Tevez.
