Sky Sports 'Interview' Prankster Pretending To Be Shay Given

Shay Given took the unusual step of going on Sky Sports News tonight to give his reaction to news of teammate Jack Butland's season-ending injury.

Or rather it wasn't Shay Given, but a prankster pretending to be Shay Given.

After approximately 0.07 seconds, it became apparent that the person ringing in was not Shay Given. In fact, he made no effort to even sound like Given. Or else, if he did, it ranks as one of the poorest attempts at a Donegal accent in the history of that county.

To his credit, the presenter quickly realised that this was not Shay Given he was talking to and, while still referring to the man as 'Shay', brought the 'interview' to a close. It was not a rambly, discursive affair. One question and then goodbye.
