By now, everyone is probably aware of the sickening assault that was committed on Dublin's Jonny Cooper in the early hours of Saturday morning. Thankfully, Cooper later allayed fears that he had suffered any long term injuries.

However, the severity of the incident was made clear when it was broadcast on RTÉ's Crimecall on Monday night. Garda have yet to find the perpetrator of the completely unprovoked assault, so let's hope that if anyone has any information they pass it on as soon as possible.
