Cristiano Ronaldo has walked out on an interview with CNN Espanol after taking umbrage to a line of questioning involving FIFA and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Before storming out, Ronaldo told the interviewer, Andrés Oppenheimer:
I can’t speak like that. This is bullshit. Speak about Fifa, I don’t care about Fifa. And Qatar...I don’t give a fuck. What you want me to do? Speak about product, he speaks about Fifa... come on.
Oppenheimer began the short interview by asking the Real Madrid star about the current scandal in FIFA, but Ronaldo quickly cut him off, saying it's of no interest to him. He told the reporter that the players do not discuss it and when asked what they talk about he said:
About music, about women, about fashion, about shoes, about suitcases/bags, about jewelry, about haircuts...any more (you want me to list?)
After that he quickly lost patience, before saying 'This is bullshit' in English and decided to call it a day. Sure it's hard auld slog, promoting headphones.
