Roberto Martinez heaped praise on Aiden McGeady in his press conference today, calling the Irish winger a 'magician.'
McGeady has gotten a goal and two assists so far this season for Everton and in the wake of his two goals against Georgia at the weekend, Martinez said 'He is a magician. I think the quality he has is quite [sic] unique.'
He's in a great moment of form but I think it's just a consequence of the good work he's done this pre-season, how well he's come back and I said it before, I know that we're going to see the best Aiden McGeady this season and probably it's going to be the best season in his career, in the British game.
I hope for Ireland's sake he's right. While some might worry that his performance against Georgia was a one-off, Martinez says that he knew McGeady was primed for a good run from the moment he returned to pre-season training. You can watch his full comments below.
