The decline of AC Milan continued yesterday after they meekly lost 3-1 away at Lazio. Centre-half Philippe Mexes was sent off late on for a bizarre grab of Lazio midfielder Stefano Mauri and after the red card flashed, the French defender proceeded to go for Mauri again and had to be escorted from the field.
The fact Mexes still commands a place in Milan first 11 may be the fact that best sums up just how far they've fallen as a European force.
